Ryan Recine (he/they)
is a highly skilled and versatile Audio Engineer,
Event Producer, Creative Director, Director of Photography, and Drummer.
With over 20 years of music industry experience and
15 years of touring experience, Ryan has worked across every Canadian province, every continental U.S. state, and more than
15 countries.
He has collaborated with international artists, prestigious festivals, and iconic venues, establishing himself as a key player in the music and events industry.
Ryan has had the privilege of working with a range of world-renowned artists, including Grammy Award-winning artist and producer James Benjamin, the JUNO Award-winning The City Harmonic, super star Shreya Ghoshal, and platinum selling viral country music sensation Robyn Ottolini. He has Production Managed for Hillsong, and worked with Classic Albums Live performing across North America, and at the famous Massey Hall, while also collaborating with legendary groups like the San Diego Symphony Orchestra.
His career has allowed him to work in varying degrees with teams behind some of the biggest names in music, including Shania Twain, Luke Combs, Keith Urban, Tyler Rich, Tim Hicks, Lindsay Ell, Andrew Hyatt, Owen Riegling, James Barker Band, Dear Rouge, Elevation Worship, Bethel Worship, and many others.
Ryan’s audio engineering expertise has been showcased at some of the largest and most renowned music festivals in the world, including: Bonnaroo, Faster Horses, Lasso Montreal, Boots and Hearts, Dauphin’s Country Fest, George Street Festival, Cavendish Music Festival, Whiskey Jam in Nashville, C2C: Country to Country at the O2 in London, and CMA Fest in Nashville. He has also worked at the CMAOntario Awards, the CCMA Canadian Country Music Association showcases, and the CCMA Awards Main Stage Televised Performance.
Additionally, Ryan has managed sound at iconic venues such as:
the Fox Theatre in Detroit, Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, The Bell Centre in Montreal, The Rady Shell in California, Tuacahn Amphitheatre in Utah,
and The Gorge Amphitheatre in Washington.
Beyond live sound, Ryan has also made his mark on other events, including hosting Vice President Kamala Harris. His expertise as an event producer has led him to contribute to large-scale festivals such as Future Forest Festival in New Brunswick, where he helped design and build the festivals new grounds, terraforming amphitheatres and designing sound system deployment. Harvest Festival in Ontario, where he led the Sound Team for a season. He is also one of the Producers for Boiler Room Toronto events and after parties, has managed DJ's at Electric Island Music Festival in Toronto, was the system technician for Ever After, Escapade and VELD Music Festivals, and expanded PK Sound events across Canada, including bringing PK to Evolve Festival in New Brunswick. Ryan also played a pivotal role in producing The Fun House in Toronto. Additionally, his consulting work for Churches and Houses of Worship have included leading the design and implementation of media, production, and IT systems for multi-million-dollar building projects, streamlining operations, and saving time and resources for future events.
As a drummer, Ryan is most notably known for his tours with Manafest and Remedy Drive, and has performed on stages worldwide.
In his work as a Creative Director and Director of Photography, Ryan has gained millions of views and international recognition. His work for Robyn Ottolini’s Match for My Memory music video was featured on People.com, showcasing a behind-the-scenes photo of Ryan. He also worked on a photoshoot for Ottolini’s single 5 Years, which was featured on Spotify Canada playlists and displayed on a billboard at Yonge and Dundas Square in Toronto.
Ryan is known for his welcoming, warm energy, impeccable work ethic, and meticulous attention to detail. His commitment to excellence and his ability to always go above and beyond in his work has earned him the respect and admiration of those around him. A survivor of childhood sexual abuse, bullying, mental illness, and addiction, Ryan is dedicated to spreading love and positivity through his work. As a neurodivergent person and a proud member of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, Ryan hopes to serve as a role model, demonstrating that no matter the struggles faced, they do not define you, and that if you believe in yourself your dreams can come true.

FOH Engineer/Production Manager
Classic Albums Live | April 2015 - 2024
Ryan spent nearly a decade with Classic Albums Live, an internationally renowned production that recreates legendary studio albums in a live, theatre setting. As the Front of House (FOH) Engineer and Production Manager, Ryan was responsible for advancing the technical details of each event and overseeing all backstage operations.
Mixing FOH sound for performances across North America, Ryan frequently collaborated with symphony orchestras, ensuring seamless integration between rock instrumentation and classical arrangements. His home base was the iconic Massey Hall, one of Canada’s most legendary music venues.
Each Classic Albums Live show features a varying lineup of top-tier musicians, tailored to authentically recreate the specific album being performed. The number of band members fluctuates depending on the album’s instrumentation, with some performances incorporating additional artists such as orchestras, sitarists, and choirs to faithfully reproduce every sound on the original recording.
The repertoire includes albums from iconic bands such as The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac, The Rolling Stones, The Eagles, and David Bowie.
With a deep passion for high-fidelity live sound and precision in production, Ryan played a key role in delivering the signature Classic Albums Live experience to audiences across the continent.

The City Harmonic | 2011 - 2017
For six years, Ryan toured across over five countries with The City Harmonic, contributing to the band’s rise in the music industry. During his tenure, he was integral to the creation, production, and management of both national and international tours and events including headlining arenas. His role spanned various responsibilities, allowing him to explore and engage in multiple facets of the touring music industry.
Throughout his time with the band, Ryan helped secure impressive accolades, including a Juno Award (Canada’s premier music award) and several Dove Awards (recognizing excellence in Christian music). These awards highlighted the band’s impact and success in their genre.

Robyn Ottolini | 2021 - 2023
Ryan played a pivotal role in Robyn Ottolini’s rise during her award-winning years and major touring milestones, taking on multiple key positions behind the scenes.
From 2021 through 2023, as Ottolini earned the CCMA Rising Star Award and CMAO Female Artist of the Year & Single of the Year, Ryan served as her Front of House (FOH) Engineer, ensuring her live sound was consistently polished and powerful. His expertise in mixing allowed Ottolini’s vocals and band to shine at intimate venues, large-scale festivals, and overseas performances.
As Tour Manager and Production Manager, Ryan handled the logistics of touring, coordinating travel, advancing venues, and ensuring smooth show execution. His leadership kept operations seamless across North America and internationally, including performances at major festivals and as direct support for Shania Twain on select tour dates.
Beyond live production, Ryan was also Ottolini’s Director of Photography, contributing to the visual storytelling of her career. He worked on music videos and professional photo shoots, shaping Ottolini’s visual brand with high-quality imagery and content that resonated with fans and industry professionals alike.
His multi-faceted expertise helped bring Ottolini’s performances and artistic vision to life, supporting her journey through major milestones on stage and behind the scenes.

Ryan is a talented drummer known for his dynamic and versatile playing style. He has drummed for numerous emerging local artists, showcasing his skill and adaptability. Ryan is most notably recognized for his tours with Manafest and Remedy Drive, where his powerful rhythms and energy helped elevate the performances.
With a wealth of experience, Ryan has performed on stages around the world, consistently leaving a lasting impression on audiences with his exceptional drumming abilities.
